Create a Sales Dashboard in Airtable
May 24, 2021A database without a dashboard is only a partial solution, so in this post I'm showing the steps to building a Sales KPI Dashboard. KPI (or key performance indicators) are those metrics that you've chosen to focus on to help guide your business growth. In this example, I'm focusing on building metrics around tracking scheduled calls, the success rate of those calls, how many proposal (or quotes) we send out, and what our project win-rate is. Metrics like this allow you to build a better business and hold your team accountable for performance.
The key takeaway with Airtable dashboards is to first build the right data structure - as well as the proper data views - that you'll need to reference inside your KPIs. Skipping these steps will prevent you from putting together your desired result, so in this video I start by outlining these steps in detail. Only after we've created the proper structure can we then focus on summarizing that data in meaningful ways. For these examples, I prefer to use charts and summary outputs, but there are other apps available as well. Find the output that best suits your needs and create your business dashboard following these simple steps!
